Why Use An Accredited Appraiser?
- An accredited appraiser provides the accuracy, competency and ethical behavior you require. Accredited appraisers complete a high level of training and adhere to strict ethical professional standards.
- An ASA accreditation is earned after completing several rigorous valuation courses as well as passing intensive evaluation by colleagues in the profession. The process requires years of study, dedication and commitment.
- The American Society of Appraisers is the oldest and only major appraisal organization representing all of the disciplines of appraisal specialists. The society originated in 1936 and incorporated in 1952.
- ASA Accredited appraisers follow the professional standards of the Appraisal Foundation and ASA’s own stringent Code of Ethics and Principles of Appraisal Practice.
- ASA Accredited appraisers comply with USPAP, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
- The appraisal reports prepared by an accredited appraiser must conform to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and to the principles of appraisal practice, including the code of ethics and the ASA-standards specific to the discipline.
